What the *F are shallow breasts?

Have you ever heard of shallow breasts before? I hadn't until i realised I had them.

I'd always been quite self conscious about my boobs. It wasn't that they were smaller but i always felt like they didn't sit like other peoples did. As i got older and gained weight, they grew too, i couldnt fit in my bras anymore but they still looked the same size. I was wearing D cup bras and everyone would question my size because they didn't look at all like a D, but i was wearing the correct size. It was on a tiktok binge that I came across a video explaining what shallow breasts are, and my mind literally went 🤯 it finally made sense.

So, I'm probably not going to explain this very well but I'll try my best. Shallow breasts basically means that the surface of the breast tissue spans larger than the average breast, but the volume of the breast is still the same. So imagine a ball of play dough, a perfectly round ball. Now slightly squash that ball so it's more oval shaped, and flatter. The volume is still the same, but because it's spread across a wider surface it doesn't protrude as much.
I wear a 34D bra. If you've seen me braless or in a bikini you would never ever think that. But the volume is there. I can't really wear balcony bras, as they don't provide the correct support for shallow breasts as the volume of the breast doesn't sit high enough. Tbh i mostly avoid wearing bras anyway because one of the pros to shallow breasts is they don't need much support.
I was 23 when I learned what shallow breasts are, and it answered all my questions I ever had about my boobs since I was a teenager. So I'm passing the torch and hope this helps some other fellow shallow breast people!

What's your opinion?
